Lilliana Vazquez, Emmy-winning host, TV personality, style expert, and author is bringing real life style-solutions to Kohl’s. Before blogs or influencers were mainstream, in 2008 Vazquez launched her bargain-hunting blog, CheapChicas.com, where she offered innovative ideas on how to shop smart along with a fresh perspective on fashion. The wild success of her site drew attention from daytime producers and in turn, millions of viewers on TV who loved Lilliana’s aspirational, yet accessible style. The importance of helping women find affordable yet stylish pieces stems from Vazquez being a first-generation American Latina that can connect with hard-working women who want to feel and look their best. Her blog turned into a bargain-hunting guidebook, The Cheap Chica’s Guide to Style: Secrets to Shopping Cheap and Looking Chic and she later launched her own brand Tesoro Collective.
When Kohl’s created their millennial initiative team to develop ideas for experiences in stores and online that might attract younger customers, Vazquez was their go-to personality to curate a Pinterest-like “outfit bar” at stores that allow women to shop by “look” for work and social occasions — in one place.
Vazquez curated The Outfit Bar, with a mix of Kohl’s best private-label brands like LC Lauren Conrad, POPSUGAR at Kohl’s and Apt. 9, alongside national brands such as Levi’s, Adidas and Nike, to deliver head-to-toe looks that are on-trend and easy to shop. The Outfit Bar is now available at the front of over 50 US stores at Kohls and online.
